The first day is the time to get to know your students and for them to get to know you. The first day students should be informed what is expected of them and the syllabus of the class. At the end of the first day, they should be looking forward to finishing the course of study.
Make sure you follow a check list.
Have a checklist and be early in your classroom to think about the first day of the class, and how to make it more interesting for the students.

What I learned from the module is to be organized and prepared. Be knowledgeable and understand the material or content being provided to the students.
lead by example have a professional attitude and model, manage, motivate. Ask yourself what you would think of the instructor if you were the student.
The way that information is delivered is important and doesn't have to follow a single method.
This section covers the importance of the introduction not only of the instructor but of the content. It is a good practice to set expectations early.
Since I am a clinical instructor, I must engage each student to perform skills. Pairing a student with another student, helps both students in deciding the best way to proceed to accomplish the task.
I am a clinical instructor. So assessing each student depends on their knowledge base. The student has to apply what they have learned in lecture and how it relates to the patient they are caring for. If the student's technical skills are not correct, I explain and show how the skills are performed. This will help with communication and taking responsibility for learning the skills.
